My daughter, Ava, is my true inspiration for this entire brand. Her bouncy, golden-brown coils are known to invite a compliment & product inquiry.
After years of recommending hair products to other moms of biracial & curly hair kids, but not being completely satisfied with what was available, we decided it was time to cultivate hair products of our own.
What I found with Ava's hair was that curl creams weighed down her bounce & traditional gels left her hair too crunchy. Her hair was just too fine for most curly products.
Not only did I want to create the perfect hair products for my daughter, I wanted to be able to use the same products in my hair. We all know how expensive hair care can be. Who wants to buy different products for all of the different textures in your household? lol
So after a year of testing & tweaking formulas, we were able to transform this dream into reality without sacrificing the integrity of porous hair texture.

The founder of Pillango' Hair born in Alabama raised in Georgia.I have been a licensed master cosmetologist since 2008. At the young age of 19, I was given the opportunity to teach Balayage classes in LA.
I consider myself a "hair nerd" because I am constantly immersing myself into the hair culture. One of my favorite things to do is to watch hair education while cooking. .
